Skills:

  • Indomitable Will: Cardinals are completely devout to the Goddess to such a degree that their will has become near indomitable. They are impossible to affect, mentally. (Cardinals cannot be the victim MDEF-affecting status conditions.)
  • Acidtear Armor: The armor of a Cardinal is comprised of unearthly metal, and contains the soul of a tortured being. So furious is the creature inside, it causes the armor to burn and gnash at the flesh and armor of living beings, and impossible becomes impossible to touch with bare hands. (Roll PDEF on contact with a Cardinal's armor. If the result is below base PDEF, -0.5 PHEALTH per point below base.)
  • Psi-Storm Bolts: The sword of a Cardinal is capable of firing bolts of concentrated psychic energy. (+2 to RNG attacks with Psi-Lightning attacks)

Engagement Style: Cardinals fight with blades and brute force in melee combat, often attempting to close distance through hordes of weaker enemies to finish off opponents.

In ranged combat, some Cardinals carry bows or spears, which they fire and throw with both accuracy, and great strength. On rare occasions, Cardinals may be spotted with modern firearms, such as Kalashnikov assault rifles or high-power rifles and shotguns.
