Tag Guide

Tags are a useful tool by which it is possible to mark a page. They can be used to indicate a certain property of a page to the reader, or to organize pages. Tags are very easy to modify - all you have to do is click the 'tags' button at the bottom of any page. Below is a brief explanation of the various tags currently in use on the site, and the situations in which you are intended to use them.

Character Sheet Tags

These tags are used by GMs and users for processes relating to character creation, approval, and management.

  • Unapproved - This tag is automatically applied to all new characters, and signifies that a character is not yet approved for Soft-RP. Only GMs and Admins may add or remove this tag. More information related to this tag (as well as the next two) is available in the Character Approval Guide.
  • ApprovedSoft - This is a tag applied to characters which have been approved by GMs for Soft-RP. Only GMs and admins may add or remove this tag.
  • Approved - This is a tag applied to characters which have been approved by GMs for Hard-RP for the game as it currently is. Only GMs and admins may add or remove this tag.
  • Anomalous - This tag indicates that a character has some anomalous quality or ability. This is used by the GM team for tracking purposes. If your character is anomalous, be sure to mark it with this tag. More information related to this tag is available in the Character Approval Guide.
  • WIP - This tag signifies that a character sheet is not in a state which the creator feels is presentable. Any user may place this tag on their own unapproved character sheet.

GMing Tags

These tags are used by GMs and guest GMs for the tracking and management of plotlines, NPCs, and other game-mastering-related pages.

  • Plot - This tag indicates that a page is the hub for a particular plotline. You may apply this tag to your own plot hub, provided it has been approved by a GM or Admin.
  • NPC - This tag indicates that a page is a character sheet for an NPC. You may apply this tag to any NPC page you create, regardless of whether that NPC has been approved for use in a run.
  • Ruleset - This tag is used for marking pages as being a list of a particular GM's or plotline's or run's set of rules.

Arena Tags

These tags are used as part of the game's Arena System.

  • AC - This tag indicates that a page is an NPC for use in the Arena. This tag is placed automatically on all new Arena Character pages, though you may have to add it manually if you do not use the automatic page creator.
  • Environment - This tag indicates that a page is an Environment for use in the Arena. This tag is placed automatically on all new Arena Environment pages, though you may have to add it manually if you do not use the automatic page creator.
  • Scenario - This tag indicates that a page is a Scenario for use in the Arena. This tag is placed automatically on all new Arena Scenario pages, though you may have to add it manually if you do not use the automatic page creator.

Other Tags

  • Bad - This tag was used for a contest to see who could make the best worst character sheet. Do not use this tag.

If you're interested in using a tag for the purposes of organizing a series of pages, such as a plotline, please send a Wikidot PM to Wogglebug. Addtionally, if you have any questions about any particular tag or about tags in general, feel free to reach out to a member of the GM team in chat or on the forums.
