Walden's Fate 2: Walden Harder

[00:49:51] <gumbal1> Danielle is outside, reading a book on a tree
[00:50:22] <Birch> What's a book doing eing written on a tree?
[00:50:27] <gumbal1> It's L'etranger, for the record
[00:50:35] <gumbal1> Danielle's on the tree
[00:50:46] <Birch> Horrible book.
[00:50:53] <Riemann> Just awful really
[00:50:57] <Riemann> Atrocious
[00:50:58] <Birch> Who carved danielle on a tree?
[00:51:08] <Birch> It really is.
[00:51:23] <Birch> Her book spontaneously combusts.
[00:51:38] <gumbal1> A nearby Brich spontaeneously combusts instead
[00:51:44] <gumbal1> *Birch
[00:51:52] <Riemann> Nah
[00:51:57] <Riemann> It remains alive and happy
[00:52:01] <Riemann> It grows even
[00:52:18] <gumbal1> Danielle eyes the Birch. She doesn't trust it.
[00:52:19] <Birch> ^
[00:52:48] <Birch> Birches are sneaky trees. That's probably what made her book blow up.
[00:53:07] <gumbal1> Danielle frowns at her burnt book
[00:53:16] <gumbal1> Eh, she has more copies stashed elsewhere
[00:53:22] <gumbal1> She planned ahead, see
[00:54:23] <Birch> Too late.
[00:54:34] <Birch> She'll find those burnt, too.
[00:54:37] <gumbal1> Danielle pulls out a copy of Walden. Maybe this readtrough she'll understand it.
[00:54:39] <Birch> That tree really hates that book.
[00:54:48] <Riemann> Danielle is struck by lightning.
[00:54:49] <Birch> She won't.
[00:54:55] <gumbal1> Pdef?
[00:55:10] <Riemann> If I were being serious
[00:55:35] <gumbal1> Danielle falls off the tree in shock
[00:55:43] <Birch> You are.
[00:56:26] <DrSavage> Randall sleeps against a tree, quiet.
[00:56:58] <Birch> Its a birch tree.
[00:57:08] <gumbal1> Danielle smiles. At least her copy of Walden is alive.
[00:57:17] <WetBeard> (Is it a Bright Birch Tree?)
[00:57:19] <gumbal1> Then she frowns, realizing her copy ios alive
[00:57:40] <DrSavage> Randall is in his full garb, not very comfy for sleeping.
[00:57:46] <Birch> It eats her face.
[00:58:22] <gumbal1> Danielle flails as her face is knawed off by the teeth of pretension
[00:58:42] <Birch> And boy are those teeth pretentious.
[00:58:51] <Birch> I mean /really./
[00:59:22] <gumbal1> Danielle doesn't understand what is happeneing. This is the exact same reaction she would have actually reading the book.
[00:59:39] <Riemann> Except less painful
[00:59:55] <Birch> This'll save her some time, then. A face gnawing is much shorter than a read through of Walden.
[01:00:36] <gumbal1> Danielle goes limp from the shock
[01:01:25] <Birch> When she comes to, her book is gone. It has fled into the woods to be a free book. It is a wild book now.
[01:01:58] <gumbal1> ~Good riddance.~ She wipes the skin from her ruined face and goes inside.
[01:02:35] <Birch> That'll teach her to read stupid books.
