Specialties

You have eight points to distribute among as many or as few specialty skills as you see fit (but at least three is almost always warranted). Remember to explain what each specialty entails.

  • Hunter's Stealth: 2. Roma's father would take him out to go hunting in the Ozark woods. Having to stay quiet and to not make noise in order to not scare off any animals was the biggest thing his father taught him. Remembering what he learned from his dad, he uses this to sneak around bases and other facilities. (+2 on a stealth roll when tracking a target.).
  • Hunter's Eye: 3. While also hunting, he would catch plants like mushrooms. Another one of his father's lessons was to carefully look at the plant that is about to pick up in order to avoid eating poisonous plants or grab anything that could harm you. (+3 on a Survival roll when investigating plants and animals.)
  • Hunter's Grace: 3. One of the final lessons his dad taught him was to calm small animals down to either catch them or let them come up to you. He would normally use this to have some company with squirrels, opossums, and other small creatures. (+3 bonus on persuasion when directed towards a small creature.)

Gear:

  • A Colt M1911
  • A standard issued Swiss Army Knife
  • A Canon AE-1 Program camera
  • A side pouch for storage and extra film.
  • A flashlight
  • A small first aid kit

Possessions:

  • Some Film development tools
  • A sketchbook and writing utensils
  • A harmonica
  • A picture of the first deer he killed. His dad is on the right side of the deer and Roma is on the left side.

Personal History:

Roma was born in the Ozark region of the United States in 1949. He was born to Richard Jones, a private investigator, and World War II veteran and Taya Karnof, a Russian scientist who left a little before the end of World War II. Being born in a place full of woods and mountainous regions, he would hear different noises coming from those woods. During the days, he would investigate those woods but would find nothing. After months of finding nothing but rocks, animals, and the occasional footprints leading to nothing, he stopped.

He focused on his studies and went to get a major in Criminal Justice. He went to work as a private investigator for three years, following his father's footsteps, until going back to those woods that messed with him when he was young. With his help from his father, He searches the old spots he remembers from childhood. After investigating the spots he remembered, he relooked at the place where the footsteps stopped. Searching the floor, he finds a covered up entrance to a bunker. Telling his dad to call for police if he doesn't return in 14 hours, he goes down into the bunker.

Once he got in, he noticed how well maintained this place is. He starts making his way down to the lower floors, searching through old documents and avoiding staff members that are roaming the facility. He finds a card with M, C,& D written on the front, with business info on the back. Going father down, he finds a radio to talk to his father. He tells him all that he has seen. He was spotted and tried to make it out, but he got lost in the bunker and got knocked out. 20 hours later, UIU members were able to get into the bunker and got him out of the bunker. Once out and awake, he was able to relay all the info he saw in incredible detail and handed over anything he got.

Impressed with what he did, the UIU offered him a job as an investigator. He happily agreed. He went and worked at the UIU for 9 years, visiting places to scout and get as much info as he can. He was sent no less dangerous jobs due to his lack of strength but sometimes was given more dangerous jobs if he was teamed in a group. After 9 years, he was laid off due to budget cuts. After he left, he got a call from a new origination who has seen the work he did during the UIU. Later in 1984, he said goodbye to his friends and moved to Nevada to start his life with the foundation.

Miscellaneous:

He is fluent in English and good with Russian.
