Trixie Wirt

Player: Hankolijo

Position: Man-Machine Interface Specialist

Demeanor: Chipper, quirky and always full of joy. Trixie will never refuse a conversation - especially one surrounding her work. Can oftentimes seem almost showman-like in how she presents her craft. May occasionally appear flirtatious.

Nature: Incredibly shy and introverted when it comes to her personal life or relationships, though still just as friendly and cheerful as she presents herself. Incredibly proud of her work. Any flirtatiousness is entirely accidental - she just likes giving compliments.

Description: Trixie is a young caucasian blonde of Germanic descent standing at the towering height of 158 cm, weighing a whopping 52 kg. Her eyes are light blue and her hair is almost completely straight, reaching down to her shoulders on the sides, though it reaches further down in the back. Her eyes are quite large, her nose is somewhat narrow and there's a tiny gap between her upper front teeth.

Trixie most often wears pencil skirts and blouses while working in a lab or on the field, though if her job has her actively working on machinery of any sorts one could find her wearing overalls and a cap over her head.

Specialties
  • Nothing in the way of giant robots!: 4. Trixie has dedicated her life to the pursuit of knowledge regarding man-operated machinery, but not just any machinery, oh no. Her main concern has always been robotics and the creation of giant mechs - something which she studied dutifully under the guidance of Dr. Beake. She gains a +4 to Engineering and Science rolls when working on/analyzing/repairing manually-operated machinery which is humanoid in structure.
  • Taking Direct Control!: 2. Trixie is a specialist when it comes to designing controls and ways for the operator to interact with various machinery. As such, she has a knack for figuring said controls out, too. Trixie may gain +2 in engineering when operating a vehicle.
  • Dorky Charm: 2. Trixie didn't just learn how to work on giant robots under Dr. Beake. She quite eagerly learned a little bit about using her 'womanly charms' - though, much like with Dr. Beake herself, it mostly comes down to a dorky kind of adorableness. When persuading someone using said charms, Trixie can use those big eyes of hers to give it another shot after a failure.

Gear:

  • A simple tool kit kept in a small pouch around her waist.
  • Wallet
  • Notepad
  • Lipstick
  • Several hair clips

Possessions:

  • An old Geiger counter
  • Red, forehead-covering sunglasses in the shape of a star
  • Photobook
  • Cosmetics
  • Various small electronics in different stages of 'disassembled'

Personal History:

Trixie, born in 1957, is the daughter of third generation German immigrants, her father an aerospace engineer and her mother a nurse. From a young age, it was clear that Trixie was much more interested in her father's work than her mother's, going as far as to join him on his work trips as much as possible. The girl was fascinated with technology - and with how quickly that technology would start to change over the next few decades, it was quite hard for her to decide exactly what it was that truly interested her.

She had been confident that she would follow her father's exact footsteps until one hot summer day in 1973 a woman visited the airfield her father worked at - Trixie herself had tagged along to watch her father work and take notes as always. The woman who introduced herself as Dr. Kailee Beake was apparently working for some organization in need of a certain type of aircraft - a job undertaken by a team lead by Trixie's father. Despite the fact that her father had told her she could not join him, she still sneaked into his car when he wasn't looking and did just that.

It was Dr. Beake who discovered her - rather than being upset, she was thrilled by the young girl's curiosity and willingness to learn. She offered her and her father the chance to have Trixie become her pupil, and practice a more advanced kind of engineering - with the option to join that same organization if things went well. Trixie was eager to do just that and though her father was reluctant to accept the offer at first, he finally caved in.

Years later Trixie had become less of a student and more of a partner in research to Dr. Beake and a most useful assistant when it came to her work. For nearly five years Trixie worked as a Foundation associate much the same way Dr. Beake did herself, before the woman suggested that she joined the foundation proper; the Doctor claimed that there was little left for her to teach Trixie. She could do well enough on her own, she said - and the amount of good Trixie could do and the knowledge she could gain from becoming an official member of the Foundation would be far greater.

Though saddened that she would have to leave Dr. Beake, Trixie accepted the woman's advice and did just that, joining the ranks of MTF EPSILON-9, ready to show the world just how kickass giant mechs could be. Well, maybe - if she could make one.
