  • Learned Paranoia: 3. Theo has learned to plan ahead for the crazy, because, in his experience, when he doesn't, no one else will. He is often ready to move long before others have decided to act. (Agility)
  • Not if I get you first: 4. The first time Theo left the asylum, he dedicated himself to proving he'd never been insane to begin with. When he's looking at anomalous objects, he is skilled at recognizing them for what they are—pieces of insanity. He is very determined. (For when things hit the shitter)
  • Non-linear thinking: 5. Theo has heard every story from every crazy. He knows how to think in strange ways and can piece things together in ways others can't. (Perception)


Theodore owns very little. When he was picked up, he was taken from an asylum, so everything he owns will have to be acquired as he goes.

Personal History:

Theodore ran into a skip in his early teens, and, unwilling to keep quiet about its presence, was institutionalized for it. He was eventually released, but in his search for proof of his sanity, he only ended up throwing himself back into the loony bin. His family got fed up and left him to his lunacy, and he lost touch with anyone outside of the world of the asylums. Eventually, the 'real world' came to be as unreal for Theo as the anomalies he sought were for those around him, and when the Foundation tracked him down for his ravings and offered him the validation he'd searched for, he took it.

Theo may or may not harbor the belief that when he thinks about pineapples he can fly. Either way, this ability isn't real and is Theo's only insane belief.
