Sean Patrick

Basic Info:

Player: StopThat

Position: Recon

Demeanor: Unassuming, though his bright eyes often betray his interest in whatever topic may be at hand. Otherwise, a quiet observer, thought friendly.

Nature: Soft-spoken and often over-apologetic, he often tries to stay out of the spotlight and aid those he deems most suited to the situation. He's quick to discuss unrelated topics in great detail, and loves to play absentmindedly on the Site's only piano. Recently has had some trouble sleeping.

Description: Sean is of slightly below-average height, with light brown cropped hair, as well as a wispy blond mustache which curls meekly under his unremarkable nose. Of slender overall build, he widens out at the shoulders. His eyes are piercingly blue, and alert in the field, though downcast in social situations.

  • Bar Stool Pianist: 3. Due to his youthful parents and time spent in pubs that fronted IRA safe houses, Sean can mix a mean cocktail and wheedle information out of the local populace with his charm and remarkable piano skills.
  • Irish Rage!: 5. Sean, though normally level-headed, can be pushed to enraged state through prolonged abuse, or (even less often) drink. He gains a melee bonus with his Shillelagh while enraged.
  • Quick-Talker: 4. Thanks to a childhood of quick talking, Sean gets a persuasion bonus against anyone with perceived authority that may question him.

Personal History:

Sean was born into the IRA in 1935, and grew up running from safe house to safe house in the cover of darkness. As a young teen he became a courier, and ran communications and small bombs or supplies to needy patriots throughout Ireland. Raised by the young fighters he encountered at the different houses he was shuffled to and from, he taught himself piano to entertain those around him. Though his parents loved him, his mother vanished into the prisons of England after being arrested with a bomb destined for a cable station in Northern Ireland in 1949. His father, wracked with grief, drank himself into a stupor. Ashamed by his father, Sean pined to prove himself to the IRA. While collecting intelligence on the English, his time came in an arms raid in 1954 against an English barracks with a supply of rifles. The raid itself failed spectacularly when SCP agents staying at the barracks on their way to London to meet with the GOC defended themselves killing most of the guerrilla force and and ultimately capturing Sean. To his credit, Sean managed to charm both agents, and was brought back to Site 19 on their return to the States. After preliminary evaluation, Sean's skills in stealth and observation made him a perfect fit for a lead field agent for the SCP Foundation, though his inexperience with SCPs themselves meant a stiff learning curve and some sleepless nights as he faced the true un-explainable nature of the world.

Miscellaneous:

Sean finds the very nature of SCPs terrifying and often struggles with night terrors, a fact he nervously guards from those he fears will mock him.
