Demeanor: Affable, easygoing, gentlemanly

Nature: He's a shark, driven to keep swimming because he's afraid of what happens when he stops

Description: Reed carries himself with the easygoing air of a person who can do no wrong. He firmly believes that he can make his shit smell like roses if he applies the right social pressure. He wears a tailored suit and rancher's boots and a fedora to cover his unkempt, sandy, blonde hair. His green eyes betray the terrible things he saw in the war against the Nazis. He leans on a cane because of a war injury.

Personal History:

Reed was born into the powerful Wambles family 1925 in the old family homestead of "Wambleweep" in Southern Carolina. The family's business assets were diverse and protected with Old Money wiles so their fortune came through the Depression intact. Reed attended Vanderbilt University and studied law before war was declared on Japan and Germany in 1941 he enlisted in the Army. He saw action in Operation Pedestal where he was hit by a piece of stray shrapnel, during the Invasion of Salermo he lost a finger a stray bullet, during Operation Dragoon he avoided being shot but promptly lost full use of his right leg when it was struck during Operation Queen.

After the last injury he was forbidden from front-line service and was shunted into the legal arm of the Army, prosecuting military law. He was honorably discharged and took up defensive law in Charlotte. In the course of his practice he made a reputation for being able to get anybody out of anything with his keen investigative sense and mastery of legal minutiae.

Reed Wambles has never married and is something of a confirmed bachelor. He lives alone in an upscale apartment in Charlotte where he smokes and drinks his war trauma away between cases.
