Specialties
  • GL-G4 Adder: 4. A device of her own design, Rebecca carries a custom grenade-capsule launcher dubbed the GL-G4 "Adder" chemical deployment device. This weapon is fired as a unique Ranged weapon with a roll stat of 4df+4 due to her training with this weapon, and carries different forms of ammunition. 10-foot radius, 4 Grenades.
    • Viper Gas: DETERMINATION to defend. Releases a caustic, quick-dying nerve gas that may damage muscle and nerve tissue. On a failure, targets suffers MENTAL damage, instead of PHYSICAL. 1d4 weapon damage.
    • Electro-Charge: RESILIENCE to defend. Releases a conductive gas before detonating a static-electrical charge. On a failure, targets caught in the cloud lose an action. 1d4 weapon damage.
    • Research: More projectiles may be developed in the future.
  • Biting Resistance: 2. Rebecca's body is hardened after a decade or so of working with toxin of varying degrees of deadliness, granting her a terribly hardy immune system. (Rebecca is granted a +2 bonus for RESILIENCE and DETERMINATION to resist poisons, toxins, and venomous compounds.)
  • This May Sting A Little: 2. For nearly a decade, Rebecca worked with German special forces as a military chemist, developing medication and non-lethal chemical agents used by the military. With such a wide variety at her disposal, she became very adept neutralizing toxic contaminants in test subjects. (Rebecca is granted a +2 bonus for SCIENCE rolls to identify toxins and MEDICAL for neutralizing them, given she has the proper equipment to do so.)

Personal History:

Born in 1942, Rebecca Mortiferum Baumwollmund was born to parents Deanna and Ricard Baumwollmund, in Berlin, Germany. Smuggled out of Germany with her parents, Rebecca migrated in secret to the outskirts of Moscow, to avoid the Nazi occupation of Germany during the beginnings of World War II. In 1954, Rebecca's home was invaded my Red soldiers, taking her from her family and, eventually, executing them under the title of German spies.

Rebecca was put into an adoption shelter, where she was swiftly taken in to a new home. Adopted by Krista and Vincent Kirlov, Rebecca never took to her new parents, much to their dismay. The events of her childhood had turned her cold with numbness. Enrolled in school not long after her adoption, Rebecca seemingly abandoned her emotional side for intellect, displaying an aptitude for rapid learning and high-logic thinking. She surpassed every student in her class, until the age of 18, where she graduated against the predictions of her parents and teachers, before moving on to college in 1960.

In 1965, Rebecca returned to Berlin after graduating college, where she joined Berlin's military research corps as a chemical research specialist where she excelling in her field, again, against everybody's expectations. In a matter of two years, Rebecca was leading her own department, having earned the nickname from her colleagues "Teufel Addierer", or Devil Adder behind her back, for her strict, dictatorial command over her department. While Rebecca was considered extremely strict even by militaristic standards, she was adored by the people that worked under her for the rewards of the work she conducted. Unlike many of the people in her position, Rebecca didn't crave glory, and instead credited the people she was in charge of with the work they produced, even when she had done a majority of the work.

By 1976, Rebecca was forced to retire after an explosion in her lab critically injured her, leaving a massive, gouging burn scar across the left side of her face, and killing three of her lab workers. Incapable of sitting still or settling down, Rebecca contacted her city's secretary for information for help in tracking down any of her remaining family. According to her family records, she'd had an aunt in Würzburg, Germany.

Rebecca took a train to Würzburg, only to find that her aunt had been murdered in the late 40's by an ex-SS officer. Taking to thought, Rebecca opted to avenge the loss of her family, contacting the local authorities for any information on the person responsible.

For two years, Rebecca spent her time tracking down one Luca Wagner, an ex-SS Nazi officer who, unbeknownst to her, was now a contact for the group of interest Marshall, Carter, & Dark and was a person of interest for the Foundation. Having tracked him to an expensive-looking home in Portugal, Rebecca was enraged at how such a horrid person could be allowed to live so well.

Rebecca had never killed a person willingly before, but this man wasn't a person to her. Donning a gas mask and taking her priorities, Rebecca entered his home with a canister of a home-brewed toxic gas, flooding the mansion and forcing him to leap from the balcony to try to escape. Luca had already suffocated on his own organs in the grass outside of his home by the time the Foundation got to the two of them, restraining her and taking her in for questioning.

In mid-1978, Rebecca was questioned for 24 hours by Foundation interrogators, but nothing broke her. There was nothing to break- She didn't work for any of the groups of interest on their charters, and after explaining her actions, the director of the experimental security facility, Site-12, decided to look into her past, having her documentation and file taken from the Berlin archives. Impressed with her academic and military background, Rebecca was given the option of either being amnestized and thrown back to Germany to live out the rest of her life in peace, or to work for the Foundation.

It was an easy choice for her, work was her bloodline. Rebecca signed on to the Foundation with no hard feelings, and joined the toxicology wing of Site-12, where for the next six and a half years, she'd become a sub-director of her branch, and garner a new nickname, "Cottonmouth", for her work with viral toxins and contagions.

By the time 1983 came around, she was ready for more, moving to Site-15 and joining the task force Delta-4 as a field-chemist and chemical weapons specialist.

Miscellaneous:

  • Originally standing at 5'6", Rebecca's impressive height is due to a prototype growth hormone she'd tested on herself, which also attributes to how well the scarring on her face has healed to this day.
  • Though very well-healed, the scar on her cheek is still impressive, and a gash in her cheek makes some of her teeth visible. Because of this, she's often seen wearing her protective mask.
  • Rebecca harbors a particular hate for Marshall, Carter, & Dark, believing them to be Nazi sympathizers.
  • Rebecca's stealth-patterned HAZOP suit is custom-tailored by herself, out of hand-cut and dyed leather and latex, as well as other synthetic materials, to protect her while she works.
  • The GL-G4 Adder weapon was created by her with the help of Site-12's engineering corps, and is carried on her forearm as a mounted weapon, with a box magazine of gas grenades.
  • Rebecca speaks fluent German, Russian, and English, as well as some Czech.
  • While it remains a secret to everybody except for her, Rebecca is a lesbian.
