Prototypical Scientist

Basic Info:

Player: Nobody

Position: Astrophysicist

Demeanor: Arrogant, Brash, Egotistical

Nature: The above is fairly close to what Ned is like. His years in Harvard working his way to the top, slowly built up his ego to proportions that would make celebrities cringe. Still, he has the knowledge to back up his arrogance, even though it's easy to say some wish he didn't.

Description: Spindly man that wears horn-rimmed glasses, a lab coat, and regular office attire. Black hair combed-over and brown eyes.

Specialties:
  • I Attended Harvard Thank You: 4. Blankety attended Harvard. Obviously. His major was applied in applied astrophysics and he of course passed at the top of his class. (+4 ACAD towards recalling information regarding astrophysics)
  • Sounding Smart Never Hurts: 3. Blankety of course knows what they're talking about. And when you use those big words to confuse people it generally helps to persuade them over. (+3 PERS when using long, drawn out scientific explanations in order to distract. Can only be used on groups.)
  • Not Made For This Kind Of Thing: 3. When the going gets tough Blankety gets going. For most of their life they avoided conflict, and when the guns and knives break out they're generally nowhere to be seen. (+3 to SNK when hiding from an ongoing combat situation. Participating at all in the combat negates this bonus.)
  • Tactical Retreat!: 2. And when the going gets really tough, Blankety really gets going. While Blankety might not be the most fit, they can still run like hell when they have to. (+2 AGI when fleeing from a very dangerous threat. GM discretion as to what that is.)

Personal History:

A brainiac who knew he was one from the beginning. Ned was born into the Great Depression in the little land of Maine and managed to dodge fighting on the front-lines by making it quite evident that keeping him in the labs was worth much more than another pair of hands to hold a rifle. His degree from Harvard made this quite apparent. Was eventually picked up by the GOC due to his astrophysics work and the need for some understanding of the great void, and moved to work for the Foundation as a result of the GOC's quite 'inefficient' lab practices.
