Nathan Audley

Player: Sax

Position: Designated Marksman

Demeanor: Aloof and headstrong, determined to the point of stubborness

Nature: A brotherly and caring individual, who places his family first before all else. Someone who is not always entirely sure of if his actions are the right way of going about, but carries a conviction strong enough that if he cannot find a way, he will make one.

Beyond his knowledge that he has to fill in for the next head of the Audley dynasty, he has also found exhilaration in combat, and despite his aloof appearance, enjoys being in the thick of the fighting.

Description: Nathan has his father's blue eyes and dirty blonde hair, which is kept short and usually hidden underneath a field cap, helmet, or beret. He stands at 6'1", and is lean with good muscle tone.

Specialties
  • Strongeye: 2. As a designated marksman, Nathan knows not only to look for his targets, but also the surroundings, to find either spots that can be utilized as ambush spots, places to hide, or other targets of opportunity that may be utilized in a bout. Grants a +2 to Perception if Nathan is scouting with his rifle.
  • Unyielding: 2. Having been tested in the crucible of leadership and as an esteemed officer of the Canadian Forces, Nathan has resolved to not crack under mental pressure, pushing his way through the thickest of doubt and despair to see his way to the other side. Grants a +2 to Determination when something attempts to dissuade him from performing an action.
  • Countersniper: 4. Formally trained to engage ranged combatants, Nathan knows how to line up a shot to take out long-ranged harassment, or to neutralize HVTs or threats before they can get in range of his team.
This special works when one of his allies is under a ranged attack. As the ally is attacked, a d6 is rolled by Nathan. If the enemy's attack is odd and the d6 is an odd number, or the enemy attack is even and the d6 is an even number, a bonus to Acrobatics and Ranged (Light or Medium) is granted for the next turn of combat only. The bonus is as follows:
D6 1 2-3 4-5 6
Bonus Granted +1 +2 +3 +4

If the d6 does not match with the attack, a -2 Acrobatics and Ranged penalty is inflicted instead for the next turn of combat.

Personal History:

Nathan Giroux Wilkons Audley, RMC, is the firstborn son of Doctor Leon Audley and Adrienne Wilkons Audley, born on August 6, 1960, in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. He would become the eldest of 6.

Growing up in an elite household, he was loved dearly by both his parents, while also raised to the highest standard to prepare him for taking on the Audley household when it was his time. To this effect, Leon spared no expense and had the best education lined up for his boy, while also taking the time out of his schedule to visit him while he was at boarding schools, ensuring that he would always have a healthy grounding even as he continued to progress. During his summers, he would often be assisting his mother or the local staff with gardening, or visiting his maternal grandparents in the States.

Throughout his growing years, he settled naturally into a leadership role, both in his classes and in his family life, often being the leader of the six. He got along well with the eldest of his sisters, Olivia, and together they guided and protected their siblings up to adulthood.

In his spare time, when not engaged with his studies, Nathan would have the privilege of accompanying his father and his partners on their seasonal hunting trips. Nathan's first kill was made at 13, against a deer with a SMLE No. 4. The antlers of the deer were taken and reworked into handles for Nathan's own hunting knife, a keepsake he carries to this day.

Nathan would follow in his father's footsteps and enroll in the Royal Military College himself, becoming appointed to the Old 18 himself during his first year, and demonstrating excellent mechanical aptitude and leadership qualities that would see him flourish throughout the rest of his fledgling career with the Forces. Most notably, he was highlighted for his excellent range scores, which have seen him winning competitions at the college and at the national level. Oddly enough, Nathan has also scored high in SERE training, including resisting interrogation tactics, including the threat of torture (and, in one accidental case that made judicial news, actual torture, when an instructor got too far into the scenario).

Upon his graduation in 1981, Nathan Audley was commissioned, and began his pre-Foundation employment with embedded specialist training at CFB Gagetown, which lasted until 1983, where he was deemed ready for service with Foundation unit Psi-7, and transferred to Site-15 for the rest of his contract. Officially, he is a Lieutenant who is on an extended transfer assignment with the States.
