Nature: Martin is a relatively kind person, though not particularly bubbly. Some might describe him as being in a state of cynical nirvana, though only jokingly- He's rather care-free, and is a pretty accepting person when it comes to diversity, which makes sense for him.

Most of Martin's success, and even his arrival to the Foundation, can be attributed for his desire to improve, and to be the best he can. Following the philosophy that there is always more to see, Martin extends his abilities to the max when he can, desiring to experience every opportunity that there is for him.

Description: What may at first glance appear to be a young woman is really 24 year old Martin Crow. Appearing extremely feminine with narrow shoulders and wide hips, alongside soft, angular features and large eyes, Crow looks like anything but your standard man.

He stands at 5'5" and weighs around 125lbs, with shoulder-length strawberry-blond shaggy hair. His skin is tanned, and he has blue, sharp eyes with neatly cared-for brows. He could be described as androgynous, though he leans heavily towards a common feminine appearance, often dressing in a more masculine fashion unless the situation requires him to dress in an opposite fashion- Something he can pull off near-flawlessly.

  • Makeup And Mirrors: 4. Martin is a trained infiltrator, and is adept at crafting and retaining disguises via makeup and uniform, as well as mimicking voices, as well as altering his own. (+4 BLUFF when they're trying to pull off a disguise they're currently wearing. Disguise has to be a full disguise, which means every outer article.).
  • A Spider In Our Midst: 3. Using concealed weapons against unsuspecting foes, Martin gets the jump on his attackers and victims alike in the blink of an eye, before escaping the scene. (+3 to ranged in combat situations where the team does not instigate combat and are on an enemy's diplomatic turf. For example, the team's cover has been blown and fighting their way out from behind enemy lines is the only option, or they've been invited to business negotiations only to be trapped and stabbed in the back. This spec can be used for any ranged rolls that fall in applicable situations, but decays by one eachtime it's used on a run (+3 for first use, then +2, then +1).
  • Slightly Handy: 3. Being silent and dexterous, Martin is an efficient pick-pocket. He could take the shirt from your back and you'd be none the wiser! (+3 to SNK rolls regarding pick-pocketing.)

Personal History:

Born in 1934, in May 2nd, Martin was born to parents June and Harold Crow, both of whom worked in government fields, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Because of his feminine appearance, Martin was subject to a lot of ridicule early in his life- Something that kept up later on, as well.

In 1944, Martin was sent to a private school in New York City, where he was taken in to personal tutoring by his parents' accord. He had no objection- It was clear that public schools weren't particularly pleasant for him. As expensive as the school was, it was worth it, for the time being. While he was in school, Martin picked up an interest in mythology, where he took up theatrical performance as a field of study in 1949.

At the age of 16, Martin ran away from the school he'd come to enjoy for the past six years. As much as it had become a place of personal safety for him, he wanted to take risks, believing he'd accomplish nothing if he stayed where he was- A hum-drum life of paper pushing simply wasn't for him.

Skipping out of the city, Martin found himself in Albany, New York, one way or another, and he'd joined a local theater troupe under the name Holly Dae. Working with his troupe, named the Angel's Hands Stagefolk, Martin worked as both a special-effects makeup artist, and eventually as a stage actor. As Holly, he became a rather loved actor on-stage in his local area, building up a small amount of fame under his false identity.

Eventually, in 1953, Martin and his troupes' services were hired by a high-ranking member of the mafia, in Manhattan, where they were employed to perform for their commissioner's brother's birthday, scripted to put on a showing of A Midsummer Night's Dream, with Martin taking the part of Helena.

Unknown to the troupe, their employer was a suspect of the UIU as a lead drug tracker, who'd happened to come into ownership of a shipment of an anomalous drug capable of causing intense mutations of anybody in a small radius around the drug's host.

During the play, the UIU conducted a raid, which turned violent quickly- The gangsters attending weren't prone to giving up at the drop of a hat. Most of Martin's troupe scattered and escaped, but three of the actors, Martin included, were taken hostage. By shear luck, Martin managed to wrestle both himself, and his captor's weapon away, disabling him, and two other gangsters, in an attempt to assist the UIU- Though Martin had just assumed they had been FBI agents at the time, and he didn't want to go to jail for assisting criminals.

While he'd only ever spent a little time at the range, Martin had never shot anybody before. The UIU agent in charge of the raid explained the situation to him, though skipping over the anomalous portion of it initially, and requested his aid in identifying and capturing the lead dealer, as he'd managed to escape.

Martin agreed to help, and did as much as he could to assist them, offering information about the man who'd hired his troupe and about other possible leads to the head dealer. Eventually, Martin took it upon himself to try to assist the UIU, who he'd still assumed were just FBI agents, by speaking with gang contacts while under-cover on his own volition, Martin managed to give tips and locations for drops, before the dealer was caught just over a month after the incident. With Martin's assistance, both the dealer and his supply of anomalous chemicals were detained, and Martin was thanked for his assistance, before the UIU stepped forward to him, offering him an apprentice placement to watch how he'd perform doing real work.

With the nature of the UIU explained to him, Martin was rather surprised- But not disappointed. The idea that he'd be keeping people safe from the supernatural made him more enthusiastic than ever, the UIU would be a place he could nurture his budding potential! Well, budding to him, ever the perfectionist.

Martin spent two years operating as a junior agent, after that point, apprenticing under an older UIU agent named James Norman, who'd found a warm place in his heart for Martin. The two became fast friends, before James was shot and killed during an under cover operation dealing with anomalous-human trafficking by an MC&D cell. The UIU head decided he'd shown enough promise in the field, and after a period of grieving his fallen friend, Martin was granted full agency privileges, and an office of his own within the UIU.

After some time with the UIU, Martin was partnered with a task force from the Foundation on an international diplomatic operation in France, where the UIU, Foundation, and GOC worked out a cease-fire for a later operation to contain a high-risk Reality Bender, in which two Foundation agents were wounded, and one GOC agent was killed. While the operation was difficult, the three teams managed to subdue the Reality Bender, and it was transported to a local Foundation containment area.

Prior to the operation, Martin was offered a transferal position in a Foundation task force, an offer he took with a warm smile. He'd spent five years with the UIU by now, nearly six, and he was ready to move on to see what other employers had to offer. He left his position in the UIU with good intentions and no hurt feelings, and was promptly transferred to Italy- Something he believed to be a bonus in the deal- where he was attached to MTF Psi-7, to work as an intelligence agent, in 1958.

  • While Martin does personally identify as male, he has little issue with being called by "she" or "they".
  • Martin is an expert mimic when it comes to voices, and often enjoys teasing people with his skills.
  • Leisurely dressing to present as either masculine or feminine, Martin sometimes dons a simple dress when he's not in public, as oppose to his usual suit or trousers. Though, knowing him, he probably would have done this regardless of his appearance…
