Specialties
  • Suppress and Overcome: 3. Sometimes going full cyclic with one of the fastest firing SMG's of the period is good therapy. Other times you just need to blast a hallway with 9 millimeter rounds so your friends can advance.
Activation Conditions Can only be used once per combat.
Effects Lou rolls his Ranged stat versus up to three opponents. Those opponents must roll Acrobatics versus his attack; enemies that fail the check are considered Suppressed on their next turn. Suppressed enemies suffer a -2 penalty to any maneuvers they attempt to make on their turn. At the end of the turn, the Suppressed effect ends.
Consequences Lou may not attack with his MPL for the following turn (due to reloading). Enemies attacking Lou that are not affected by Suppress and Overcome have a +1 bonus when attacking him.
  • "You Have Friends - Where?": 3. When you've been trained in the art of "persuasion" by the MACV-SOG, twisting arms becomes second nature.
Activation Conditions Lou may only use this skill versus unalerted human enemies that he defeats with a successful Melee sneak attack (non-sapient enemies and animals are not affected by this ability). Cannot be used on multiple targets. One use per run.
Effects Lou rolls a Melee sneak attack with a +2 bonus versus his target. A successful Melee attack restrains the opponent. Once restrained, Lou may roll Intimidation versus his target. A successful Intimidation roll gains information on enemy patrol routes and numbers from his target. Additionally, Lou and all allies gain a +1 Stealth bonus when attempting to evade opponents who have been pointed out by this ability.
Consequences Failing the sneak attack provokes a melee counterattack from his target, and Lou suffers a -1 penalty when attempting to avoid the attack. If the team's presence has not been discovered before this point, any security forces in the area will be alerted in one combat turn after the failed sneak attack.
  • Hidden in Plain Sight: 2. Lou's spent a lot of time sneaking around when someone's looking right at him.
Activation Conditions Lou can only use this ability when indoors or in an environment the GM considers 'enclosed' (cave systems; urban sprawl; outdoors w/ heavy visual obscuring, etc.)
Effects Lou gains a +2 bonus to Stealth.
Consequences None.

Personal History:

Lou started his life rough and tumble in New Orleans, with many fights throughout his childhood and early teen years. After he graduated high school, Lou began learning how to box, in order to protect himself. His skills as a boxer managed to net him an attempt at the Golden Gloves boxing tournament, but his attempt at the coveted necklace was snubbed when his draft ticket was pulled, and he was sent off to Vietnam in 1966. During a joint operation with MACV-SOG, Lou performed well enough that he gained the attention of a higher up, and was transferred. While operating in and around Vietnam, Lou honed his skills in CQC, both armed and unarmed. After exiting the service in 1974, shortly before the Vietnam Conflict ended, Lou began working in the private sector, traveling around the world on various protection jobs. While working for protection agencies, Lou gained the notice of the Foundation and was recruited.
