Loche V. Ludvigsen

Player: Krydderi/Salem

Position: Wildcard Investigator [OMEGA-5]

Demeanor: Somewhat of a wildcard- Loche will give off a personable and calm persona when around new people. However- when he drops the persona he is a far more uninhibited person than he first seems.

Nature: Attentive and sure of himself, Loche will shuffle and deal the cards he's thrown to benefit him and his team… no matter the amount of people he has to play in the process. The end justifies the means. If playing dirty is the way to win, you'll find Loche washing the metaphorical grime off his hands.

Description: Standing at 5'10, Loche has this floofy mop of brown hair on his head, alongside green eyes under wire frame glasses… That he never remembers to wear. Outfit-wise, Loche gravitates to button downs, sweaters, and slacks. Loche has a tattoo of a moon on his neck, usually hidden by his hair.

Personal History:

[Born July 12th, 1954]

Adopted by Tennyson and Jannik Ludvigsen on January 15th, 1959- Loche was raised by his adoptive father and grandfather in Copenhagen. From an early age, Loche was taught by his father to better understand the world around him. Taught to better recognize how to solve issues that came his way. Whenever a task was presented to him, Tennyson was behind him. This was a very important part of his upbringing. As he grew older, Tennyson slowly withdrew his help. Little by little, Loche was raised to be independent in a world which his family deemed strange and horrific. He was raised to have the capacity to function alone.

As he grew older, his formal education continued along as normal as civilian education could be. He was struck with the passing of his grandfather in 71', but did his best to keep it from impacting his studies. Loche completed his schooling with the rest of his peers in 72', boasting certain accelerated courses such as maths and science. After completion of his schooling, Loche followed his father to America. His Father had since completed his Ph.D in Medicine and retired from his practice to teach.

The two settled in Ohio in late 1972, in Oberlin. Tennyson took up teaching for the college, while Loche began studying Criminology. This began in 1973.

In 1977, Loche earned his BA in Criminology. Instead of continuing his education in Ohio, he moved west at the recommendation of his Father. Specifically, Nevada. Tennyson never explained to Loche the actual reasoning for the recommendation. He simply stated that Loche would find better work there.

Upon arrival, Loche began work with local law enforcement. During this, he continued working towards his Criminal Investigations degree. He completed his education in 1979, officially becoming a Criminal Investigator on July 7th, 1979.

For two years, Loche went about his career with no major issue. There was the occasional incident with suspects and tampering with scenes… But Loche never let up. He gave his career his all (and developed a coffee dependence to put a MA student to shame). However, one night [March 3rd, 1982], Loche was given an assignment he'd never thought possible- an undercover assignment. Granted, it was one night. It was a single night, prompted by several reports of staggering individuals seemly out of their minds, suspicious figures and noise complaints.

For one night, Loche V. Ludvigsen was Jakob Dial.

Loche was sent in to gain an idea of just what was going on. Were all three reported incidents linked?

As Loche went through the night, he noticed many things that he simply… couldn't explain. Men would drink what he though was wine, only to dance the night away without stopping. Where a normal person would succumb to exhaustion, the men kept dancing. Auctioned off were… as loche would say, "unspeakable things straight out of lovecraftian and horror novels." However, he wasn't the only man under a mask that night.

Midway though the night, Loche believed it was time to leave and report his findings. He'd decided he'd seen enough to confirm the departments suspicions- and enough to make him reevaluate just what in heavens name the world had in store. He did not make it back to the station.

Intercepted by Delta-4 agent ████ ██████, Loche was brought in for questioning under the impression that he was involved with MC&D beyond his given cover story.

After subsequent questioning and a look into Loche's history and background, he was identified as a civilian whose involvement with MC&D did not extend past the undercover assignment he'd been given. These findings led Loche to being given a choice: to return to his normal life, or to leave his job in law enforcement to join the Foundation. While he was offered the choice due to his background and education in law enforcement, Loche was hesitant. In the end, curiosity got to him.

On April 8th, Loche began training with the Foundation in infiltration and reconnaissance. On July 1st, 1983- Loche was officially allocated to Omega-5. Classical Education.

Side-notes on Loche's History:

  • Regarding his Father and Grandfather
    • Tennyson is a retired Foundation field agent (See: Tennyson Ludvigsen)
      • Tennyson remains in contact with the Foundation, reporting anomalies and GOI activity when it occurs.
    • Jannik essentially worked in an HR position for the Foundation.
  • Regarding Loche's Biological Parents
    • Loche has no memory of his biological parents. He was separated from them at age 2.
    • Loche's high resistance to psychic anoms and the like (his antipsychic stat) is a result of heritage. His biological mother was a Thaumaturgist, he did not inherit her inherent abilities. He did inherit her strong mental defenses. He is, in every other way, mundane.

  • Loche can play the piano, however he cannot play songs by memory.
  • Loches original name was Carter Hanson.
  • English
  • Danish
  • Norwegian

  • Alias: While agents are often provided with cover-stories when being sent on a mission, sometimes more in-depth tactics are required. Your character has a second, false identity complete with speech-training, wardrobe, falsified credentials and papertrail, and other trappings of an in-depth false identity that they can take on at any time.
