Specialties
  • Know Your Enemy: 3. John's specialty while he was working with the CIA was intel gathering. Specifically in regards to tracking certain people. He's formed a globe-spanning network of information and various resources in order to supplement these skills, which can often come in handy. (+3 to Academics while at the base in relation to tracking an individual, with the quality of the information at the GM's discretion. On runs, John can replace one knowledge-based skill roll [Science, Engineering, Medical] with a boosted academic roll. Single use)
  • Talk the Talk: 3. A good agent knows how to talk his way out of a bad situation, and a great one knows how to turn that bad situation into his favor. James was an… okay agent, and while he has a tendency to put himself into bad situations, he'll avoid them if he can. (+3 to bluff and persuasion when in a disguise and cover not blown. Certain individuals may or may not fall for a certain disguise. This skill can also be rolled to boost another player's bluff or persuasion; 2 uses.)
  • Close Combat Training: 3. John doesn't mess around with fancy hand to hand combat. Instead, he prefers to let his pistol do all the talking for him. (Whenever an opponent attempts melee combat with John, he can roll a +3 to ranged with a pistol or similar one-handed firearm, rather than PDEF or AGIL, against the opponent. If successful, the attack is avoided and the attacker takes damage. This bonus decays by 1 point every use.)
  • Infiltrator: 3. Sometimes, gathering information isn't as simple as making a phone call or looking up an index number. In those cases, some manual research is required, often in areas where the books aren't exactly public. (After a successful base sneak roll, +3 to Perception and +3 to Lockpicking rolls while enemies are unaware. Lockpicking rolls are rolled twice, with the better of the two rolls taken. This bonus is lost whenever an enemy spots John, but can be gained again if a base sneak roll is successful)

Personal History:

███████ █████ ██████ was born on December 4th, 1924 in Springfield, Massachusetts to parents ███████ and ███, his father being a Great War veteran and his mother a housewife. When the call to war came in 1941, █████████ was eager to join the war effort and was shipped overseas, where after his 5 year service he was honorably discharged with a Purple Heart and a Soldier's Medal. Afterwards he took advantage of the G.I. bill to study for a bachelor's degree in business, but then, at the suggestion of a friend, went on to study to become an Agent for the infant Central Intelligence Agency.

After many successful oversea and domestic operations (and one or two failed ops that John barely escaped from) he worked his way up the ladder to become one of the top personnel for the agency, with a specialty in tracking down suspected communists and war criminals, to bring them to justice. However, in 1952, a domestic incident led to ██████'s name being wiped off the record. The details of the event were blacked out and classified, with the man himself seemingly disappearing off the face of the Earth.

It is during this period, that scattered accounts detail an individual who could find anyone, anywhere, for the right price. This individual went under the pseudonym 'St. Anthony' and was reported to be involved with various international incidents.

The Foundation has, in the past, utilized Mr. North's skills in several investigations regarding the whereabouts of several people of interest. After many job offers, Mr. North finally accepted.
