Personal History:

John Stayton was born on June of 1921, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to two white parents. His family ran a small café that provided for their three-member family comfortably. His childhood was mostly uneventful. An exceptional learner, he easily graduated from high school, applying to the University of Little Rock. His application was granted, and he arrived at the University hopeful for his future. The summer of 1940 brought tragedy to John, however, when his father was killed in a break-in, and his mother went missing. John was heartbroken, taking to the streets where he scratched out a meager living as a PI for hire. When the attack on Pearl Harbor came in '41, John decided to enlist in the Army.

Passing his training, his superiors thought his talents would be better suited in the intelligence department, and he was approached with a position in the newly founded OSS. There, John found his true calling. Espionage. John had built an impressive repertoire of missions in his records during his stay in the OSS. However, on September 20, 1945 President Truman signed Executive Order 9621, terminating the OSS. His Order became effective October 1, 1945. John was transferred to the War Department's SI branch, and continued his work in the newly formed Strategic Service Unit. In 1947, the SSU became the Central Intelligence Agency. John’s talents were used to their fullest, from black ops to undercover work, he was used extensively. in the summer of '57 he decided he was done. At his resignation party, however, he was approached by a representative of the Foundation. After a lengthy discussion, he was offered a part within the organization. John accepted, being placed at Site-77.
