Specialties
  • Paranoid and prepared: 2. Jackson is a myth hunter, and is therefore equipped as such. He is equipped to face any being from North American and European mythology. Thus he has many items in his combat kit which will weaken them, provided the roll to use it succeeds. (Rolling ranged to use fire on a wendigo, education to use a cross on a demon, melee to use a stake on a vampire, etc) The result will be a -2 to the opponent's attack rolls.
  • Don't corner a hunter: 4. Jackson ain't nobody's fool. He knows how to get out of situations most would not. When a comrade or himself are dropped down to at or below half physical or mental health, he can get +2 to resistance, and +2 to melee. This bonus disappears when the fight ends or comrades are healed back to a state beyond half mental or physical health. (Does not overlap with third spec)
  • Rage of the hunter: 2. Jackson is a determined man, and he didn't make it this far just to lay down and die. He gets a +2 to strength or toughness when faced with an encounter that drops his health down to 5 health or below (mental or physical health). The bonus ends once the fight is over.

Personal History:

Jack was born on June 3rd, 1953 within the state of Texas. He grew up on a small ranch with a mostly absent father, mainly raised by his mother. Up until 18, he had a normal life, rode horses and cared for chickens. He never knew what his father was up to. He only knew that it didn't make money for their family, so they were slightly on the poor side. One day, his father came home, and all seemed normal. As the day went on though, something seemed off. He found out what was off when he found his father about to rip out his mother's throat while she was asleep on the couch. He used the family double barrel to fend the pretender off. A completely skinned body was confirmed to be his father a few days later on the news.

Jackson inherited all his father's possessions in the wake of that incident, though no one believed him when he told them the story, not even his mother. Or she pretended at least not to know. After making sure his mother was ok, he geared up and went traveling while studying what he inherited from his father. His father had been a monster hunter of sorts, and strived to make the world a better place. Jack followed in his path, studying the research his father had on all what he had hunted. It was a rocky start, and he had more than a lot of close calls. He faced wendigos, vampires, werewolves, and more creatures of European and North American mythology. But he had one goal, hunt down the skin walker that killed his father.

He learned how to deal with other things as the years went along, most of it self taught. Though he worked with the UIU for a time to track down a pack of werewolves in texas.
He found a lot of ease in killing vampires in the few times he fought them, since all it took was a wooden stake. On one occasion, he helped some UIU agents torch a nest of wendigos in the swamps of Louisiana.

Finally the day came, after years of searching, he got a lead. The same lead a group of foundation agents was on, unbeknownst to him. He followed the lead, knowing more than they did about skin walkers. They happened upon him in the clearing of a forest, standing above the dead body of that skin walker. Not long after, he got a call, seeing if he wished to join the foundation. Having been monster hunting for years, he was ecstatic to find out he could make money from it, and happily accepted.
