  • In Spite of the Others: +5. Grey holds all his allies to an extremely high standard. The same that he holds himself to. If someone fails terribly in the field, it pisses him off. He may roll +5 to an appropriate, non-Science or Academics based roll recently failed by an ally in the same run.
  • Go and Hide Under the Covers: +4. Grey is incredibly good at calming civilians and those less familiar with the anomalous nature of the world. They don't know what's really out there - it's not so hard to convince them that it really isn't that bad. The best men in the world are keeping you safe. Persuasion towards civilians.
  • Lie In Wait: +3. Grey is patient and can keep his nerve in an anxious scenario. In the field, outside of direct combat, he is great at blending in with the background, taking up a good position both tactically (or socially) in order to let his prey to come to him. Sneak before action begins.

Personal History:

Gray Somerset was born to a merchant family in May 1927, his early life touched by the great stock market crash and at the advent of the Great Depression. His childhood was as comfortable and safe as one could hope for in those days; safe, but with an undercurrent of stress, hidden by his parents so he wouldn't worry. He doesn't remember much of that age, only that his family did its best and he was happy.

He was 18 when World War II ended; at the time, he didn't serve due to having to take care of his ill mother, after his father passed away. After she passed as well, Gray passed the business along to a distant but trusted family member and headed out to become a police officer. His hometown was on a river, and had a Problem with smugglers as he was growing up - he had no interest in standing by while they caused more Problems for the city. He immediately showed amazing skill as a field officer, swiftly delivering violent but nonlethal action against the criminals and assorted ne'er-do-wells in the region.

An embedded Foundation agent took special notice of Gray when he managed to single handedly take down a particularly nasty gangster who happened to have extreme healing abilities. An invitation to join the Foundation was offered to Gray in 1949 - he took it, and has been with the Foundation ever since.

(This history is not great and I might change it in the future, will talk with GMs when the time comes. - Dex)
