Freya Sinclaire

Player: spookybee

Position: Heavy weapons specialist

Demeanor: Brutish, simple, aggressive

Nature: Freya is just as she seems for the most part, being brutish and not exactly the most intelligent woman in the bunch. To her team mates, she's friendly and happy to help, but in combat she enters a fighting-frenzy, and can be a more-than-intimidating presence to everyone around her.

Description: Freya Sinclaire stands at 6'6", and weighs around 230lbs, most of that being a healthy dose of lean muscle. Her skin is tanned, and she has long brown hair kept in plaited braids with a few beads along the length. She has a mass of Norse tattoos down her right arm, and a tattoo of a belt of bullets around her right bicep.

Specialties

You have eight points to distribute among as many or as few specialty skills as you see fit (but at least three is almost always warranted). Remember to explain what each specialty entails.

  • Oppressive Fire: 3. Freya is… Clumsy is one way to describe her. Precision weapons are not her style, and as such, she prefers to hose everything in front of her in heavy-weapons fire. (When firing a heavy weapon at grouped targets, she can elect to up to two additional attacks at enemies close to her initial target, but will deal half the damage of her dice result, rounding down. If her result is 1, she only deals 1 point of damage. Only works with heavy automatic weapons.)
  • Stance: J√§rnkropp: 2. While Sinclaire is a heavy weapons specialist, she should never be underestimated in close combat. When fighting in melee against an enemy that's using blunt weapons or unarmed attacks, Freya can enter a defensive stance to stave off their blows and suffer little to no damage. (Must declare her stance. +2 to Resilience vs. blunt weapons and unarmed attacks as long as this stance is maintained. While in this defensive stance, Freya cannot take other actions save for defending. If she does, the stance is considered broken, and she loses her bonus.)
  • Stance: Benbrytare: 2. Freya is frightening in a brawl, being strong enough to break bones with her punches. This isn't exclusively because of her strength, either. During her time in Operation: HRUNTING, Freya was specially trained to make the utmost advantage of her body. (Must declare her stance.+2 to Melee rolls with Freya's unarmed attacks as long as this stance is maintained. While in this stance, Freya suffers a -2 flat debuff to Toughness. Debuff lasts as long as the spec is maintained.)
  • Winter's Fury: 1. Whenever a force attempts to alter her fate or harm her lethally in any manner, in finds itself shunted aside and struck with equal- Or more commonly, greater force than its own. (In the event that Freya is struck by an attack that would knock her unconscious, or influenced by mind-altering effects, she may roll her defense against either again with +1 to the roll. If this roll would instead succeed, she still suffers the physical damage but may immediately strike with the nearest available weapon. If the effect is a mind-altering effect, she does not suffer the effect, and still strikes at the source of it.)

  • Tank top

Personal History:

Born on March 19th, 1958 to a poor family in Sweden, Freya and her parents, as well as two older sisters, moved to Denmark in the mid-late 60's, where Freya quickly was taken out of school to work as a storehand in her mother's shop. At the age of 18, Freya joined the military, and was deployed to a station in Germany.

While in Germany, Freya's platoon was adopted by a joint program between the Danish and German military barracks stationed in Saarland, and a branch of the GOC, starting a covert operation dubbed Project HRUNTING. HRUNTING was tasked with tracking down anomalous weaponry across the European continent during in the middle of the Cold War, while also acting as battle-front combatants against other aggressing groups of interest during these incursions.

Freya operated in HRUNTING as a fire team heavy weapons specialist. What she lacked in intelligence and finesse she made up for in bundles of raw strength, and her size allowed her to tote much larger weaponry than her other team mates. During her time with HRUNTING, she received special training in hand-to-hand combat, as well as taking leave time to travel back to Denmark to learn traditional martial arts, and recover a family heirloom.

In 1982, HRUNTING was disbanded after a majority of its members were affected by a mind-altering anomalous object they'd recovered, leaving Freya and a handful of her team left alive. They split apart, and spread across Europe, with Freya leaving the continent altogether to move to the United States with the artifact that had altered her previous strike force, as it had shown itself to have no effect on her, for whatever reason- Though she often believes that her gods smile upon her, and that she has a greater purpose with the artifact.

A year later, Freya was found in her current home in Texas by a retrieval group from Marshall, Carter, & Dark who'd caught wind of the artifact and came to retrieve it. The three men that came to her home attempted to reason with Freya to turn it over, but found that she wasn't really a talker, or a thinker for that matter, and quickly found themselves beaten to a pulp and sent on their way empty handed.

By now, the Foundation had also caught wind of the item, and of the previous attempt of retrieval by MC&D, and sent their own people in force. Freya was apprehended, and, eventually, reasoned with. It was determined that, while she was hiding an anomalous item, she wasn't a danger to others with it, and in the end, probably the best person to have it until the Foundation entered the picture to relieve her of it. After their interrogation of her promptly turned up very little information outside of the now-disbanded or dead HRUNTING, Freya was offered a job, on account of her experience with the anomalous, apparent boredom, and physically imposing attributes, as well as her strangely good luck against the anomalous.

In late 1983, Freya was appointed to Mobile Task Force Psi-7, Home Improvement, as a heavy weapons specialist.

Miscellaneous:

  • Freya's favorite food is sour cream donuts
  • Freya speaks Danish, Swedish, German, and English. She also speaks and reads old Runic Norse fluently, on account of her family's traditionalism.
  • She chooses not to speak much, but is very easy to read from body language. She often makes faces and postures herself to fit her mood and opinions, and is truly bad at keeping a poker face.
  • Freya is easy to anger, and just as easy to calm down.
  • She's bisexual, but doesn't really understand romance very well.
  • Her favorite color is burgundy. She doesn't know why, it's just nice.
  • Freya can lift well over four times her body weight with decent effort.
  • She has awful hand writing.
