Kim Young-Soo (김용수) & Ha-Na (하나)

Player: Veiedhimaedhr

Position: Bird Person(Support)

Demeanor: Friendly, unfamiliar with English and adventurous. More of an outdoor person and, sometimes appearing to be more attached to wildlife than to other human beings.

Ha-Na is a bird.

Nature: Young-Soo is fully fluent in English but isn't used to speaking it with such frequency. He was mostly raised in the wilderness and being pent up with other people, underground no less, makes him twitchy. A big fan of the environment and all its wonders.

Ha-Na is a bird and likes the outdoors even more. However, she's a very intelligent and friendly bird that almost gets along with people better than Young-Soo does.

Description: 6’8” and with dark hair/eyes. Young-Soo is usually wearing outdoors gear(coats, jackets, caps, etc) or standard tactical gear when on a mission. However, he will always have a protective shoulder and wrist covering for Ha-Na to perch on. Wears a eye-mounted camera interface connected to Ha-Na's camera in the field.

Ha-Na is a female Golden Eagle. In the field, Ha-Na is equipped with steel-reinforced talons and a small head-mounted camera. Fluffy feathers.

You have eight points to distribute among as many or as few specialty skills as you see fit (but at least three is almost always warranted). Remember to explain what each specialty entails.

  • Eye in the Sky: 3. Having Ha-Na flying around surveying the area and feeding intel directly to Young-Soo through camera footage or calls is a major advantage. Provided Ha-Na is in the mission and there is an open sky, Ha-Na can offer Young-Soo or, by extension, teammates a +3 PERCEPTION when scanning the environment. Ha-Na typically doesn't hang around long to get shot and circling birds are noticeable. This buff can only be done once per area and before combat begins.
  • Dive-Bomb: 2. Should the situation call for it, Young-Soo can call Ha-Na down to rend an enemy with steel-talons. Ha-Na's attack is guaranteed to hit but only does 1d2 damage. Ha-Na retreats afterwards and this attack cannot be used again for 2 turns. Requires Ha-Na to be on the mission and there is an open sky.
  • Double-Barrel: 3. Young-Soo usually uses the revolver for combat. However, should the need arise, and the enemy is close enough, Young-Soo will empty both barrels into an enemy for (high damage roll here). A turn must be spent reloading before this can be used again.

Personal History:

Young-Soo was born in Seoul in 1948. When the Korean War broke out, his father went off to fight while his mother remained to raise him. The North Korean army swept into the city and Young-Soo's mother fled with him into the wilderness. Evading the North Koreans and living off the land. They'd continue to do so after the war ended. 3 years is a long time.

Young-Soo made his first childhood friend when he found a Golden Eagle chick that had fallen out of her nest. The chick's parents were dead it seemed, so Young-Soo took her in and named her Ha-Na.

An older, but still young man, Young-Soo returned to civilization once his mother needed modern medicine and enlisted in the army. Ha-Na followed. They did scouting duties and were instrumental in locating both infiltrators and defectors alike. The few promotions and medals they earned also came with the money needed for medicine. Alas, there was no medicine available for old age.

Young-Soo and Ha-Na returned to the mountains.
