Nature: Enjoys the company of the living and the dead equally, and is very casual about his line of work. He has a very calm demeanor that he tries to maintain in even the toughest situations. Rather adventurous, likes to see new places and do new things.

Description: 5"9'. White hair. Dark brown eyes. Very aged, though he won't admit to it. Usually seen wearing the same black suit and top hat.

  • Genesis 2:21-22: 5 Using his vast knowledge of corpses, Elijah can tell the cause of death of almost anything. This skill also helps to keep others from death.
  • Psalm 23:4: 4 Be on the road for a while and you're bound to run into some unsavory characters. Elijah has learned to better defend himself from any immediate threats.
  • Revelation 21:4: 3 Being around the dead for an extended period of time makes you somewhat detached from things. This makes Elijah a bit mentally stronger.

Personal History:

Elijah was born in 1895 in Houston, Texas. When he turned 10 he was sent to live with his uncle in Austin to learn a trade, undertaking. When he returned home in 1925 he started his own funeral home in a nearby town, which was moderately successful. While the Great Depression didn't affect him too much, a few years later the mass exodus caused by the Dust Bowl forced him to move shop.

During this time he traveled across America and performed funeral services for fellow travelers, often having to also figure out cause of death to give families closure. His picked up a lot of medical knowledge during this time by studying his uncle's old books. When he arrived in California he set up a mortuary with the money he had earned on the road, not only as a mortician but as a coroner as well. He became well known in the state as the top medical examiner.

Later on he became involved with some particularly gruesome deaths caused by an instance of SCP-████. Elijah provided valuable information to the Foundation that lead to the instance's containment. He was offered a job and he unhesitatingly accepted.

Miscellaneous:

His close friends and family call him 'Grimm' because of his profession. It's also literally his middle name.

He claims to have met death once. The encounter was described as "Pleasant".

Recently adopted a raven that he saw hanging around the Site.

Owns a old, dilapidated A-Model Ford Hearse.
