Personal History:

Edward was born on May 11, 1925 in the small town of Pinery, Michigan. From an early age, he had a fascination of animals. He could often be seen playing with the neighborhood strays, letting birds land on his fingers, and watching the wilder animals in the woods. Eventually his mother (Mary) let him adopt a stray dog. He choose the weakest of the bunch, a white husky, which he named Shiloh. The two were inseparable, playing, eating, and sleeping together. That was, before Shiloh was kidnapped and butchered by Robert Smite, the local bully. Edward wasn't the same after that, he avoided animals for a long time.

He lived with his mother until he was drafted into the United States Navy on December 14, 1941. Just 7 days after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he was being trained to bring the fight to the Japanese. Edward didn't like war, but he liked Emperor Hirohito even less. He was a radio operator-maintainer, stationed on the USS California, during the war. While on board the ship, Edward found a strange castaway: a stray dog. He named him Francisco and showed him to the crew. Francisco quickly became the mascot of the USS California, loved by most. During the Attack on the Philippines, the ship was hit by a kamikaze. 45 crewmembers were killed, including Francisco.

After the war, Edward decided to pursue a degree in Zoology, which he achieved with support from his wife, Isabella. On January 17, 1952, he was hired by the Foundation as an Anomalous Animals Specialist. His work included the study and containment of anomalous animals, including those from and not from Earth. His mother died several weeks later from old age, passing peacefully in her sleep. Consumed by grief, Isabella helped him cope until he could continue with his work. His life at the Foundation was uneventful until September 4, 1957, when his wife was killed in an airplane crash. He then requested to be transferred to Site-77, which is where he works to this day.
