Demeanor: Dunivan can easily come across as mischievous and always up for a joke, cynical commentary, or even the occasional attitude filled comeback. The class clown, if you will.

Nature: Dunivan is a kind heart hidden behind a curtain Of sarcasm, mischief, and Cheshire grins. He knows very well that the foundation is serious business, but he's not going to let that stop him from being himself through clear skies or chaotic storms.

Description: Dunivan is a mountain of a fellow, standing at 6'2, with broad shoulders to match his equally sturdy build. His skin is pale, allowing the slight showing of freckles under his dark blue eyes, which always seem to be filled with a mischievous glint. His hair is a blondish ginger, trimmed short on the sides, long on the top, and is slicked back neatly. A beard, matching his hair color, is neatly trimmed and connected to sideburns that go up to his hair. His lips, thin and pale, are usually formed into a ponderous expression.

  • Unorthodox, but effective: 2. Dunivan, being the mess of a fellow that he is, carries a kit with him in the field full of various random stuff just in case. Provided his engineering roll succeeds, he can use some of these items to aid he and his teammates in the field. When planning to use or make one of these tools, be it from his kit or the surrounding environment, he gets a +2 to his engineering roll. Note that this spec can not be used during combat, and if he fails the action, he can't take that exact same action again. (Examples: Welding a door shut, breaching a door, jumpstarting a car, setting a trap etc)
  • Slayer of the Autonomous: 2. The only thing Dunivan knows better than tech is guns. From putting them together, taking them apart, and analyzing them. (+2 to rolls that involve interacting with machinery of the general weaponry oriented nature.)
  • Bag of technical goodies: 4. As a mechanic, Dunivan makes tons of toys to play with, sometimes to the detriment of others. He takes some of his creations on missions, naturally, to spread the pain. (There are various gadgets cosmetic wise, but there are only four different effects.) He is only able to use his bag of goodies four times within a run. If his attack with one fails, it does not count, but he cannot attempt again for 2 turns. These different effects are also unable to stack on one enemy. In order for the gadget to succeed in effecting it's target, Dun's attack roll must be higher than the target's physical defense roll. Note that when using a gadget, upon success, the foe effected will not lose physical health, the only physical effect being the gadget's listed effect. (Note that these gadgets, while always having the same effects that are listed, will take a different form in terms of fluff when they are used. The things listed under the gadgets are just examples)

1. Upon being stricken by the gadget, the enemy will be stunned during the following
round and will be unable to attack. (Flashbang launched from air pressure grenade
launcher, black net launched from underbarrel gun attachment)

2. After being hit, teammates will get +1 to damage rolls when attacking the enemy
afflicted with this effect in the following round. (Acid pod meant to weaken enemy
armor, sticky small packs of gunpowder meant to make little explosions when hit, like
fire poppers.)

3. Upon being hit by this gadget, the effected enemy suffers a toughness debuff in the
following round. (1d2 to decide how much toughness is reduced) (Blade that
launches into the body and begins rotating to cause discomfort, syringe launched at
foe that causes brief drowsiness when injected.)

4. When successfully hit, the enemy in question has to roll physical defense against a
4df+4 to avoid taking damage to physical health at
the start of their turn should they choose to take an action. (the effect lasts for one
round.) (Fast hardening slime that coats the barrel of a gun, metal net launched on
the ground that extends into a small grid of spikes.)

Personal History:

Dunivan was born on January 15th, 1958. His family was the average deal. Mother and father raised him, along with his sister. In his childhood, Dunivan's favorite pastime was tampering with machinery. something he got to do plenty of due to his father's occupation as a mechanic. His taste for machinery reflected in his schools, as he was always top of his group when it came to mathematics and the corresponding classes.

Though in terms of overall grade, he was far from perfect. When he wasn't interested in what he was doing, he had a tendency to fall back on sarcastic commentary and jokes to pass the time. This gained him the reputation of the class clown. Once he graduated, he instantly went into college to study as much engineering as he could. He made a living off of fixing various machines part time, such as lawn mowers and golf carts. But it wasn't enough money to pay off his college. Thus, in an attempt to pay his college debt, he joined the military in 1978, and found himself serving as an engineer in Lebanon.

He found his true skill there, that being weaponry. Comrades would often come to him, asking that he specifically fix the issues with their weapons. He even found some ways through his own previous experiences to construct gadgets for use in the field. The foundation recruited him after a foundation agent visiting Lebanon to investigate anomalous happenings witnessed him airdrop flashbangs on an enemy position by launching them with a homemade launcher that made use of pressurized air. It was designed to automatically pull out the pin with a hook as the grenade left the launcher. After seeing the pay would easily fix his college debt, Dunivan happily accepted.
