Basic Info:

Player: Complete_Zero

Position: Extra-Dimensions Transportation/Containment Specialist

Demeanor: Placid, Optimistic, Logical, Open-minded, Enthusiastic about his work, Eccentric.

Nature: He's difficult to excite, unless it comes to his work, in which case he is extremely enthusiastic about it. He's very calm in many situations, he is rarely ever disturbed or afraid. Although, he tends to approach problems and situations with logic, he keeps an open mind, believing that "Anything is not Impossible". At times he can seems to be somewhat eccentric, using double negatives in his words or just confusing syntax.

Description: 34 years old. Brown, swept back hair. Deep blue eyes. Average complexion. Likes to wear suits during his work when a lab coat is not needed, otherwise, he dresses casually.

Specialty Skills:

You have twelve points to distribute among as many or as few specialty skills as you see fit (but at least three is almost always warranted). Remember to explain what each specialty entails.

  • Dimensional Physicist: (4)

His experience and extensive study on other planes of existence, teleportation, gateways and portals has made him an expert in almost anything inter-dimensional. It is very likely he may know how to operate, locate, contain, open or close one. He has also studied Mythology, Quantum Physics and many theories of the Multiverse. He may make comparisons, understand the physical aspects of the world and recognize similarities between myth and its probable link to some part of myth or legend.

  • The Call of Duty: (2)

Fighting in World War 2, Vincent received training as a foot soldier. He knows how to fire a rifle, but prefers to use a handgun. During times of crisis, these skills come into use, especially if there are bullets flying past his head.

  • Anything is Not Impossible: (3)

Dr. Lehman believes that everything has an explanation, even the unexplained. He can come up with unorthodox ways of completing his tasks or surviving in difficult situations. Because of this open mind it may be easier for him to find things that may seem out of the ordinary.

  • Keep Your Damn Head Down!: (3)

During his time as a soldier, he was trained to find cover keep his head down during combat. Even during his experiments, he needs to use this training. Whether it's bullets or an unstable prototype, Vincent runs with all his might to find cover… as long as he knows what he's running from.

Personal History:

Vincent was born on December 13, 1922. As a young boy, he had always been interested in why things were the way they were. He was particularly interested in the idea of the laws of nature, the understanding of how things worked, the physics behind it. But when he discovered the concept of Quantum Mechanics, he became more interested in the concept of understanding the seemingly impossible ideas of reality, and quite possibly alternate realities.

Vincent was drafted into the military during World War 2. He fought at D-Day and took part in the Battle of the Bulge on the shores of Normandy, France. He never stopped thinking about his interests, though. He made notes and theories on how multiple universes could be possible and how they could be reached.

After the war, Vincent became extremely proficient in the field of Quantum Theory and moved on to become a theoretical physics major in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Upon graduation, he received a doctorate in theoretical physics and a degree in philosophy.

In the height of Vincent's career, he began doubting that he'd ever prove a possible multiverse, until he stumbled over an anomaly that had been a gateway to a pocket dimension. He was flabbergasted. He studied and wrote notes and observations detailing radiation and physical properties. But this discovery was short lived. Vincent was picked up by the GOC for questioning, but when they discovered his notes and theories on the gateway, they hired him to study inter-dimensional anomalies and how to hunt or contain them.

During his work in the GOC, he worked with many ways to create a device that would contain inter-dimensional anomalies. His first prototype, Proto-IDCU Mark I, was a failure, yielding very few results. Learning from this, he then created Mach II, which made some progress and gave insight into how he could successfully accomplish his goal. Then, he made Proto-IDCU Mark III. This prototype had successfully created a containment unit capable of holding unstable dimensional anomalies, but it itself was unstable. The radiation from the device damaged the machines engine, ripping his assistant and two other GOC researchers apart in a fiery explosion. The GOC had immediately called for the discontinuation of the Mark III prototype and the project had been shut down. Dr. Lehman had ceased further progress on this goal, at least for a while.

After about a two years since the incident, he eventually began work on a safer Mark IV prototype and requested transfer to Site-19 after their many encounters with separate planes and time-space warps. He was determined that interaction with these events and interviews with those effected by them may boost his research with great strides.

Miscellaneous:

  • Dr. Vincent Lehman was Born on December 13, 1922.
  • His enthusiasm knows no bounds when it comes to his work. He places it above all else.
  • From his time in the Second Great War, he has gained some experience with open combat and how to survive during firefights.
  • Although he works to better understand the concept of trans-dimensional travel and containment his life goal is to create an "artificial pocket dimension."
  • Dr. Lehman is not a member of the Foundation and holds no loyalty to them, he works under the GOC.
Opinions:

Artyom Elkin: Stern man. Doesn't seem to trust me.

Dr. Elliot Wilson: His work seems to work along with mine, at times. He may prove to be a valuable asset in the future.

Gwen "Kit" Bowman: Engineer. Will call upon her for future constructions.

Melanie Carter: Very beautiful. I believe she may be distracting me from my work. I don't mind. I look forward to seeing her whenever.

Marion Groft: They have proven themselves as a competent reliable assistant. Will be leading the expedition. I have come to trust them with most of my work notes. Attempts to comfort me in times of stress, I have Melanie for that.
