Dr. Mikołaj Kamiński

You have twelve points to distribute among as many or as few specialty skills as you see fit (but at least three is almost always warranted). Remember to explain what each specialty entails.

  • Always One to Talk: 4. Never runs from a good conversation, especially if it is about a topic he is fascinated by. +4 to persuasion when persuading someone about an academic subject.
  • Scaredy Cat: 4. When in a situation of extreme danger, Kamiński is no brave soul. He is, however, exceptionally good at running away and hiding while figuring out a solution to a problem. +4 to Agility when a ranged attack directed towards him misses, and there is available cover.
  • Nerd Rage: 4. When all else has failed, Kamiński knows when it's time to stop running and put up a good ol' fashioned fight. When his health is under 30%, Kamiński will gain +4 strength.

  • An engraved pocket watch from his grandfather that no longer works. Holds sentimental value.
  • Prescription glasses. He can see without them, since he is farsighted, but cannot read at all.

  • N/A

  • Encyclopaedia Britannica A-Z (18 volumes, 8 are missing)
  • Rickety old bunk-bed that he alternates sleeping in the top or bottom bunk.
  • Wooden desk with paper and pens

Personal History: Kamiński was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 18 to two wealthy aristocrats, and from birth lived in the lap of luxury

Kamiński worked at the University of Warsaw in Warsaw, Poland, as a General History professor until the Nazi takeover. He managed to flee with some other scholars into Sweden via rail to Gdansk, and then a boat to Stockholm. The sudden uprooting of everything he'd ever known was enough to break his constitution, and for a years, he abandoned his work. The effect of this still lingers, and Kamiński feels doubts as to his self-worth and ability.
