Corey Peterson

TEST
Player:

Position: Epidemiologist/Field Medic

Demeanor: Corey is rather quiet and unassuming, and he is not one to seek out new relationships of his own accord. He may often be observed spacing out, seemingly ignoring everything around him, though whether he is just deep in thought or something else is hard to tell.

Nature: While he may appear to be spaced out a lot, he is quite observant of his surroundings and can notice things and patterns that others often don't. He is an astute observer of other people, and sometimes says things or points out harshly honest things about others that make people around him uncomfortable, though he means no harm with these statements. However, in situations of great urgency He may seem emotionally distant to others around, but he cares deeply about those close to him and will do anything he can to assist them in times of need.

Description: Corey's appearance is rather unremarkable: he stands at 5' 11" and possesses a light complexion and dark, shortly cut hair. He is clean shaven, and wears glasses to correct for slight nearsightedness. He dresses rather plainly for the most part outside of the field, and leans more to the casual side of things: mostly plain button-downs, t-shirts and jeans make up most of his wardrobe.

Personal History:

Corey was born in a small town in Ohio, in the winter of 1946. His father, an electrician, was killed shortly after he was born in a vehicle accident, and he was raised by his mother, a music teacher, who instailled in him a great interest in music. Growing up, he played the cello, taught by his mother, and excelled in math and the sciences, due to his astute observation and pattern recognition skills. He studied microbiology and epidemiology after he graduated from high school, going into work with a local university in 1975, studying disease and it's spread among people. 3 years later, he was approached by the CDC, which, hearing about his research work, as well as his efforts in tracking the source of a New Jersey botulism outbreak, wished to employ him as an analyst to continue his research with them, under the condition that he move to Nevada. Accepting the offer and moving to Nevada in 1978, he put his skills to use under the CDC until 5 years later, when an outbreak of an anomalous disease appeared in his hometown, sickening hundreds and killing many-. Corey and the CDC, working with a local hospital as well as well as a team of researchers and specialists, who were, unbeknownst to him, from the Foundation, were able to contain further spread of the disease as well as determine patient zero and the source of the disease. After his skills in the analysis of disease spread were noted by the Foundation researchers he had worked with, he was recruited by the Foundation to work with Delta-4.
