Personal History:

As a small boy, young Blake Darkwood has been fascinated with science and the strange, but never really made it all that well in the real world. He would always dream of playing with aliens or having sleep-overs with vampires.

In 1942, his father, Travis H. Darkwood, went into battle during WWII, leaving behind him and his wife, Janice. Travis never made it back home, yet Blake, age 6 at the time, kept dreaming that he was off in a wacky world full of mysterious wonder. That was until Janice told him the truth. From then until his "first encounter", Blake stopped believing in fairy-tales and more into history and science. Not being the brave man his father was, he vowed to live up to his destiny to help mankind for the greater good, as his old man once did.

On November 22nd, 1953, Blake met Delilah Child, a beautiful girl of Irish decent. Blake was tender and kind to her, not realizing that she had been the target of the Foundation for quite sometime. After 2 months, Delilah revealed her haunting secret - that she had a gaping maw in the middle of her stomach. Blake, horrified at first, gradually calmed down, seeing that she was still the same, beautiful girl. The Foundation soon arrived after 3 more months, but, along with Blake, discovered that she had been brutally murdered in her own home.

Blake decided to join the Foundation in 1957, owing allegiance to help other anomalous beings and study their characteristics under the watchful eyes of other Researchers. He chose this field in memory of Delilah.

Before heading out, Janice bid him farewell by sending him his best childhood friend - his stuffed, plush butterfly, "Honeycomb", as well as his father's old bulletproof vest.

Formerly working as an assistant for researching and studying anomalous entities, Blake went on to work with the anomalous as a special kind of psychiatrist or counselor.
