Ashleigh Symmes

Basic Info:

Player: Riemann

Position: "I don't even know why I'm here."

Demeanor: Grouchy, acerbic

Nature: As much as he'd prefer to stay out of the spotlight, he'll risk himself to save his friends. Not that they'll hear the end of it, mind you.

Description: Skinny and of average height, he has auburn hair, mostly hidden by a deerstalker's cap he wears. His long face is not unattractive, and has a beard of varying style and length. Seeing him in anything other than casual attire is highly unusual.

Personal History:

List what your character's life has been like, from birth until 1954. The more, the better. Be sure that all of your character's skills (especially specialty skills) are explained. Higher skills need more justification.

Ashleigh Symmes always enjoyed his childhood. He grew up in a middle class family, with an average house, decent grades, and friends. Not interesting friends, but friends. By all accounts, it was terribly boring. He loved every minute of it.

And then he did something moderately interesting. Someone forced him into going to the zoo, where he was infected with SCP-1261, which he referred to as 'that bloody bird'. In time, the Foundation delivered amnestics, and he forgot all about it, for a time. His run of luck didn't end there, though. A couple months later, he received a mysterious package from some strange 'Dr. Wondertainment', containing a booklet on, for some reason, a pool ball. He could live with a pool ball, as annoying as it was, and tried his best not to do anything to draw attention. He succeeded, until a Prometheus Labs test subject found Ash in the street, transferring SCP-868 to him, forcing him to recall all the terribly interesting memories he'd ever had, including that bloody bird.

And then it began to go downhill for him.

The combination of amnestics and various SCPs culminated in a permanent and ontological feathered companion, whom he has begrudgingly named 'Red'. Red, ostensibly an emu, can interact with the physical world in a limited capacity, limited mainly to harassing Ashleigh.

Ash began to travel the world, searching for a way to rid himself of Red. Along his travels, he was continually forced into helping others, ranging from saving a village, to his eventful vacation in Poland in September of 1939. After inadvertently being present in almost every major battle in the European Theatre of WWII whilst trying to get home, Ash finally arrived, and was greeted by a Mobile Task Force. Turns out, being present for a high concentration of anomalous activity makes the Foundation interested in you. After thorough testing to determine that neither Ash nor Red were reality benders, the Foundation kept him on as an agent.
