Specialty Skills:
  • Selling the Dream: 4. To make a profit, your customer has to want what you're selling even if it's a vacuum cleaner that works and looks like any other vacuum cleaner or a briefcase exactly identical to every other briefcase. Anthony is a master of making people want things.
  • Just a Moment of Your Time: 4. Unless your customer is an old lady, when you're going door-to-door you're going to have a very narrow window between the householder opening the door, seeing you, and slamming it shut in your face. First impressions are all in the posture, the smile and the tone of voice. Anthony knows how to make people like him just by looking at him.
  • Keeping His Cool 4: Anthony is at home with people. Put a gun in his hand and he'll break down in 5 minutes, but put a human or human-like intelligence in front of him and he'll break when hell freezes over. He's adept at keeping his head screwed in a situation involving social interaction.

Personal History:

Anthony grew up in urban New York as the only child of a fairly working-middle class family. His father was a police officer, but he was a nice guy. He was never a violent kid, preferring to avoid bullies by just befriending them. At a young age he got very good at making people like him.

In his young adulthood he picked up a job as a door-to-door salesman and got very good at it. He soon started scouting for better and better paying contract work in the marketing community, where he met a twitchy and nervous gentleman who referred him to some obscure company called Marshall, Carter and Dark. The work they gave him mostly involved working auctions and meeting specific clients, and earned him a ludicrous amount of money. While MC&D are very much of the "need-to-know" style of business when it comes to their sales department, Anthony was told enough to figure out that he wasn't selling vacuum cleaners and used cars anymore.

Eventually he got involved enough to meet up with an undercover Foundation agent. While he appreciated what MC&D were paying him because he's a greedy bastard, he was understandably a bit worried that they might catch on that he knew too much. So he managed to get in good enough with the Foundation agent (mainly by selling secrets) to jump ship, and has been working with the Foundation ever since.
