Demeanor: Andrea stays on his own and does not like to be surrounded by people, however tries his best to not give the others a bad impression of himself, when at work his mind focuses completely on getting his job done, in the best way possible. Sometimes he might seem obsessed with his work, he doesnt like to be annoyed while working on something serious or during his training that he does daily.

Nature: Once you get through the shy guy you meet at first, Andrea is the kind of person that is always up for friends, he will not hesitate to help someone in need even if it means putting himself in danger and he will most likely try to keep up the morale of the people around him in most situations.
His obsession with his job is due to him really enjoying what he does, and that's why he sometimes refuses to go on break.

Description: 1,84 mt tall, weights 67 kg, long brown hairs and light blue eyes, pale skin with some freckles scattered around his cheeks.
He has grown some beard that he shaves from time to time, just to keep it the same length over time.
He usually walks around with a pair of cargo pants with lot of pockets to carry his items around, and a simple t-shirt with short sleeves, in colder climates he wears a long jacket.

  • It's just like that time 4. When fighting an anomalous humanoid creature Andrea remembers about his accident and how they were able to fight off the creature then, he gets on an adrenaline rush and gains +4 to Melee.
  • This seems familiar 4. When he has to examine an anomalous object that has something to do with ancient civilizations he resorts on his advanced knowledge about myths and ancient rituals, gaining a +4 in Academics.
  • The darker the merrier 4. Years spent exploring catacombs and other ancient and dark places caused him to get used to dark, and to be particularly careful in this kind of environiments. Gains +4 to Perception when in dark closed spaces.

Gear:

  • Small medieval dagger with both sharp sides, kept in a sheath on his belt
  • Little pickaxe that can be used to dig out objects without damaging them too much

  • A large and sharp roman gladius replica, its handle is decorated with a large ruby in the centre of the hilt, he is really proud of this sword that he bout after lot of hard work, it comes with a leather sheath, and he usually keeps it mounted on his room's wall.
  • A photo of him as a kid and his father in military uniform.
  • A copy of the newspaper that talked about the "accident" referring at it as a structural failure of the roman building, that killed those ██ people.
  • sport clothes for when he trains in his free time.

Personal History:

Andrea Asarisi was born in Cosenza, a small city in southern Italy, in the 17th December 1928. His father was a soldier that fought in WWII for the wrong people, unfortunately, and on 24th February,1946 his father was assassinated by Italian partisans.
After the War and his father's death, his childhood hadn't been anything special. He developed interest in history, but also to a certain martial art, Krav Maga.This passion for both history and martial arts eventually met into his other passion, ancient weapons ranging from small daggers to large greatswords.
He studied history in Milan, eventually graduating and starting his job as an archaeologist in the same year, 1950.
His career as an archaeologist is very successful, and so is his training as a martial artist, however this becomes more like a hobby.
In 1958 he is offered a job in southern Italy, quite near to his birth place, which he accepts happily as it also seems to be a well paid job and quickly moves to the location.
As he gets to the archaeological site he is told some general information about it being a Roman building made like a prison or such.
During extensive and difficult exploration of the site, weird frescoes on the building's wall portray a weird creature he had never seen before. His excitement grows as he thinks that this could be an important discovery. As he and his crew explore the place more thoroughly on the inside they find a large stone door, sealed completely.
A few months later the dig operations manage to open the door, releasing an aggressive humanoid that killed █ crew members upon release. Andrea and some of the remaining crew fought off the creature, armed with the very pickaxes used to break down the door that contained it. Unfortunately, █ more crew members were killed in the struggle.
However the police was called and arrived to the location, the undercover Foundation agent ████ noticed the anomalous creature and called the Foundation task force, then the survivors including Andrea were brought to a different location by the Foundation staff, initially he did not understand what was going on and who those soldiers were. Everyone was interrogated individually by agents of the Foundation, and he was offered a choice, taking an amnesiac and forget about everything or join the Foundation, he was warned about the risks but he was up for the job and accepted willingly, he could not forget the friends that lost their lives because of that thing, and he would put as much effort as he can into avoiding something like that from happening again.
