Specialties

You have eight points to distribute among as many or as few specialty skills as you see fit (but at least three is almost always warranted). Remember to explain what each specialty entails.

  • Sloth: 3. Alexander is possessed by an anomalous entity that he has not so lovingly named Sloth. It is usually dormant but it can manifest itself when it feels Alexander is in danger. Sloth's visible form is of a humanoid figure with rocky features. There are sheet like protrusions of rock on the back of it's hands resembling shields. These Shields are used to protect Alexander from harm when Sloth is manifested, although they could also be used as a Medium melee weapon.
  • Cover Me!: 3. Sloth may try his best to protect Alexander, but he can be forced to protect others as well. Sloth can use a turn to use his shields to defend someone. This Person gains Damage Resistance 3 for that turn. This prioritization of other's defense unfortunately means he leaves himself open to attack, giving a -1 Penalty to Resilience while he protects others.
  • Spray And Pray!: 2. Alexander has been using his Machine Gun for years, and has grown skilled at hitting multiple targets at once. When he activates this spec he gains the ability to target up to 2 enemies at once with a -1 Penalty to the attack roll. After using this spec he must take a turn to reload.

Personal History:

Alexander was born to a rather normal family in Norway. He never wanted for anything, and always took the easy way out on anything he could. If there was a shortcut he would take it. Essentially trying his best to do everything he did with the least amount of effort as possible. He did however have an interest in tinkering with various things he could get his hands on. These bad habits continued even when he made his way to the military. He even volunteered and trained to be a Heavy Weapons Operator during his time there so he could overcome his problems with sheer amount of bullets rather than skill. He did manage to focus enough attention to the intricacies of explosives and other complicated mechanical devices. Eventually The Foundation picked him up as part of Psi-7 where he did very well for a time. His shortcuts eventually reared their head when he started taking the easy way during missions, such as killing anomalies who posed any reasonable risk to his team rather than capturing it. He was written up a few times for this, and generally corrected it for a time. One day he was sent on a mission to raid an MC&D warehouse before an auction claiming to have several combat ready anomalies in stock. An anomaly got loose during their raid and Alexander did his usual strategy of letting loose as many bullets as he could until he hit what he wanted too. This unfortunately broke the covering for another anomaly without his knowledge. This anomaly latches onto people and uses them for a symbiotic relationship of protection. He was not aware of this creature until after the mission while they were waiting for Evac. One of his friends gave him a friendly punch on the shoulder after a bad joke, and this set the anomaly off. It erupted out of his back and shoved the man away. The other agents, understandably shocked shot at the anomaly, setting it off more. The bullets ringing against it's flesh resonated with Alexander, knocking him unconscious. When he woke up the Anomaly inside of him had beaten his friends to death. He was quickly and carefully contained as soon as Evac arrived. His anomaly was studied intently and once it's limits and risks were evaluated he was seen as an asset and allowed to work on the task force until they could figure out how to remove the Anomaly he eventually named Sloth.
