Demeanor: Do computers respond when nobody gives them input? Adelaide is almost mute unless she's being directly talked to, and whatever hints of sociability she showed before hand have disintegrated into a rough shell of half-hearted smalltalk and what she thinks are the apropriate topics and protocols for conversing with other people.

Nature: Adelaide behaves as built. Exceptional behaviour leads to crashes.

Description: Adelaide is a woman of average height and build with dark brown hair and tan skin, though it's taken on a slightly sickly pallor as a result of her newfound condition. Her eyes are a solid, watery grey, and sporadically leak a stringy goop – either coolant liquid or fluid overspill. In an apparent effort to salvage what was left of her former persona, she still wears the same blouse and slacks outfit, though it's easy to see a couple bumps on her back through the fabric where her metal spine juts out from her skin.

If you really listen, it's possible to hear the sound of quiet static hissing coming from her body.

Specialties
  • Firing Tables: (3) Adelaide's bolstered mental prowess means it's trivial to start cranking out calculations for a projectile's motion in flight. This becomes dramatically more useful when she's got something sharp or explosive she can throw. Adelaide gets a +3 to Ranged when using throwing/projectile weapons.
  • Breaking It Down: (3) Adelaide's brain is fuelled by two things: the desire to be useful and vaguely scientific paranoia. Her neurotic pattern-matching instincts have only gotten worse since whatever happened to her finished up with her brain. Adelaide can roll a Science check to determine how an anomaly works: if she succeeds, she gets a +3 to her next roll. If she fails, she takes 1 point of Mental Damage.
  • Ruggedised: (3) Having metal bits and pieces make up the majority of your skeleton does wonders for your ability to take a bullet. When Adelaide takes more than 3 points of Phys. Damage, she can roll a 4df: rolling a 2 or above cuts the damage she takes to 3.
  • Anomaly: All We Hear Is: (3) Part of signals intelligence is intercepting the signals in the first place, which is that much easier when your spine is literally a radio antenna. The fact it lets her also send said signals is also pretty handy. Adelaide can roll Science to generate powerful electric currents in metal objects within a 100 meters. This spec also gives her the ability to talk to her teammates through their radio.
  • Disadvantage: Surge Protection: Of course, hearing your thoughts reflected off anything remotely metal around you does no favours for your mental state. When Adelaide uses the electricity-generation portion of her spec, she then has to roll Mental Defense against her Science roll to not take Mental Damage from the radio feedback.
