Personal History:

Aaron Wendt was born in 1912 to a middle-class family in Berlin. After WWI the family relocated to Frankfurt to attempt to seek shelter and try and repair their lives. It wasn't until 1922 that Aaron began to become interested in plants. This interest eventually led him to go exploring the local forest for hours on end looking and cataloging everything he saw, not to mention taking samples of flowers he saw. He did all of this to escape the troubles of post WWI life, and it succeeded for the most part. Although once the forest was slated to be cleared for lumber he had to spend most days on his toes, constantly on the look out for anyone that may have thrown him out of his sanctuary. He eventually got caught and took back home, to where he was punished severely for skipping on chores. But this did not stop his love for plants or flowers.

In 1931 he went off to the Humboldt University of Berlin to further his studies in botany, but during this time the University was in a state of turmoil due to the rising Nazi Regime. Aaron attempted to finish his education as quickly as he could, and managed to graduate in 1935. In 1936, after working as a clerk for a small store he was targeted by the Nazi's for an unknown reason, forcing him to go into hiding. Which he did fairly well up until 1939, when he was found again and given a reason as to why he was being hunted; his father's side of the family held three Jewish grandfathers. This insane reasoning also meant that by default he was Jewish. This, again, forced him into hiding, and at times to run from patrols sent to collect any remaining Jews.

In 1940 he made it back to his childhood home, only to find the home abandoned and most of everything gone, save for his Father's C96, which he hurriedly took. The following years up to 1945 are mostly spent running, with few engagements being had.

It was April of 1945 when his running reached a dead end. The Allies were closing in, and the Nazi's were desperate, but they didn't stop their hunt for the remaining pockets of Jews. It was on the 21st that he encountered a a small detachment of German's near Bologna, this detachment saw him and promptly began to chase and shoot at him. Running with all of his might and occasionally firing back at them, the lad knew he was done for. Until the German's that were chasing him began to be picked off, first one, then another, finally two more went down. Looking about for what caused their untimely demise, Aaron saw nothing. He was safe once more and little did he know that the war was over for Europe…well, at least for Italy. In order to escape the coming storm of the Cold War and even more persecution for being a German, Aaron was approached by the Foundation offering him refuge in exchange for his knowledge of plant life and his knowledge of the anomalous object that roamed the forest near his hometown.
